Veteran Iranian star Fathali Oveisi has passed away in a hospital in Tehran after days of battling with disease.

Veteran Iranian star Fathali Oveisi has passed away in a hospital in Tehran after days of battling with disease.

He had been in a coma during the past few days due to brain stroke and didn’t manage to recover despite having surgery.

Born in 1945, Oveisi graduated in Directing and Acting from Texas State University.

Oveisi is best remembered for his acting in films including ‘Captain Khorshid’ (1986), ‘Takhti, the World Champion’ (1987) and ‘Mummy III’ (1999) as well as dramas like ‘Packed Suitcases’ (2001) and ‘No Comment’ (2002).

He is best known to iFilmers for appearing in the series ‘After the Rain’, ‘How I became a Billionaire’, ‘I Want to Stay Alive’ and ‘Light and Shadow’.
